Modul ini adalah perbaikan untuk versi sebelumnya dari Modul Shipping OSCommerce, kesalahan terutama di sebabkan adanya kesalahan logik dalam fungsi quote yang akan menyebabkan pilihan servis pengiriman tidak dapat dilakukan. Pada modul yang terbaru ini kesalahan telah di perbaiki, dan pemilihan servis sekarang sudah dapat di lakukan.

Magento TIKI Shipping Module

My first magento shipping module is finally uploaded to magento connect sites. This shipping module was mainly targeted for use with TIKI, which was one of popular Indonesian Carrier service provider. But it should be able to adapted for different provider. The module will take the destination city of the shipping, and seek for a match in their data table. If matched the cost will be calculated and then be displayed to the customer.

This module is considered beta release, please contact me if you had trouble with the module. Or if there is a bug issue that need to be resolved.

A new choice for e-commerce platform has been developed, with it current 1.1 production quality release Magento Commerce has attract numerous developer from around the world. Included here are Indonesian web developer. Even though it server requirement are a bit high for normal hosting service, but more and more hosting service are qualified to run this e-commerce platform.

The current documentation for the coding system is a bit sparse. We need to dig more into the code to find out more about something. Fortunately the documentation inside the code is quite rich, and could help a little. But surely a better documentation is needed for this, so that more and more developer attracted to create modules for the system.

Right now I’m trying to convert my OSCommerce module so that it could be used with magento system. The development track is quite slow, and there’s quite a lot of trial and error in the coding process. But I have managed to make the module to work, and could process the shipping cost. But the administration module is not finished yet. Hopefully it could get finished in few days.

Finally this modules is completed, currently it’s only support for 2 type of TIKI service which is Regular and ONS. But this module should easily be modified to accomodate more services type. This module is include an admin screen to modify their destination city record.
